I had a wonderful time at 88's! Lots of incredible talent, but a
couple really stood out: the opera singer and you. You're the only performer
who slinked through the audience and showed off some incredible style! Hope
to get down to Tomorrowland to see you perform soon. Looking forward to your
next gig.

Well all my Disney people tell me you did a great job last night at the Google event.
Everybody was raving about it. They said you were great and it’s the talk of the town.
Rey Escoffery said you were absolutely the best and so did Tony la Bianca, so congrats!
Thanks again, Girl!

Just gotta tell you that you totally rocked at the Improv! So glad I came to see you.
To be honest I’m really very critical about song parody because so many people do it badly but you really nailed it.
I was really impressed, you were funny as hell and you looked beautiful.

You were wonderful at the Improv.
And You were really funny! I fully enjoyed your comedy set. I would like to come to your next cabaret show.

I think you are so very talented. You have an amazing presence on stage and your vocals are pretty good too; they are phenomenal! You kicked butt up there! I laughed pretty dang hard when you were up there.

You never cease to amaze me. I was totally surprised and quite taken with
you replying to my email. I never expected a response, much less one so
gracious.
You have done it again. There is a huge smile on my face. The very first time Elizabeth and I saw you at Disneyland, we
ended up being "sandwiched" between you on my right and your two brilliant
guitar players on Elizabeth's left. We had so much fun. It was one of
those moments we will never forget. To say the least, you have made a
lasting impression.
Once again, thank you for your thoughtfulness, on all counts.

I saw a bit of your Knitting Factory show - think it was your record release party last St. Patrick's Day. I was there to meet a big fan of mine who was in town to see Riddle The Sphinx who was on the bill the same night. Although my attention was mostly on who I was there to meet, I did see you perform a few songs and thought you were terrific and engaging. You're a lovely girl, too, and that sure doesn't hurt anything. ;-) I'll visit your myspace page as soon and see what's new with you and your career.
Wishing you all the best and much success in 2007. It's a pleasure to meet you, Brooke.

I just wanted to let you know that Terry and I really appreciate you and your talent. There are few people in this world who have achieved as much as you have and can still be a GENUINELY nice person. Thank you. Thursday evening’s LA Music Awards was so memorable, it'll be an event that will last in our memory for years to come.
Although Terry and I have been to a few "celebrity" events this one really topped it all. WOW! Good luck in the future. Hope this award brings other achievements just waiting to be received!

Good luck and keep kickin ass. Let's hang out sometime. K? Maybe we can go check out some local music together.

Thanks for making my job that much more fun. You and the gang are true professionals and put on the best show. I always give you the highest marks and speak very highly of you. Thank you for bringing some joy into my life at work. Take care darling and tell the band I said hey.

I know it's probably been a while since I have made mention of it, but YOU are so very good at what you do. And whether it be making lemonade out of lemons (dancers out of lack of dancers, dancers out of 'horn' players) or taking any one of a million situations that come up on Disney gigs or Arrowhead gigs or whatever gigs, and creatively turning it in to fun for the whole audience (oh yeay, and band members too), you really do your work extremely well. Oh yeah and, by the way, you sing your %$$ off too !!
In any case, just wanted to let you know that I still see and hear all that you do and greatly appreciate what you bring to the table. And in case you may not hear it as oftern as before, I am certain that the audience appreciates it more than ever as well.
Thank you--
sincerely,
Don

Want to thank you for your performances at Club Buzz. You have managed to become better each time. We can always count on the unusual, as one person said, "I don't want to get too close to the stage, you never know what Brooke will do next!" You mix it up and we love it. You get more and more converts each appearance. By the way, I think Donovan should be paying you for his "exposure".
SO THANKS!

I wanted to tell you how incredibly talented I think you are! (as I'm sure I've mentioned before but it was reinforced by your performance Sat night) Your voice is seriously better than 99.9% of the people putting out music these days and you are a stellar live performer. You nailed that Heart song, I mean who the hell can sing Heart that well? You rock sister! Whenever you are feeling down just remember what a very special gift you have that brings a lot of joy to people's lives, especially mine :)

Hey Brooke,
I finally had a chance to give a listen to your CD, and I just want to tell you how impressed I was. First of all, it sounds great. The band cooks, and Pat kicked ass on the drums. Everyone sounds wonderful. Nice writing. My favorites were 7 through 10. And all the work you put into backgrounds...wow! You should be very proud of this. Keep creating!

Hey Brookinator, thank you for a great time on Friday.
I really had a lot of fun. You were beautiful and wonderful, but, then that just goes without saying.
Being with you is a spiritual experience! (I take refuge in Brooke) I will tell you more about it later, but the next day, I was at "faces of Fullerton" and I jumped in front of the Public Access camera with your t-shirt on. So you got about 5 seconds of your face on tv and then the guy got mad at me.
MY friend is in the band Monkey's Uncle (former members of Head Cheese) were calling me a metal sellout. But I told them that it used to be "I sold my soul for rock and roll". Now it's "I sold my soul for a blonde chick". They decided I have the right idea.
your pal, Matthew

Hi Brooke,
It was nice to finally meet you yesterday. I enjoyed your original music. The sound of the group is very "thick"...lots of great music. And your on stage energy is wonderful! You move great, look great, and have such a good voice!!!! Need I say more?
Thanks for the CD. I just got done listening to it and appreciate the original music so much more than the covers that we have to play over and over. That was apparent in your performance yesterday!
See ya soon.

I am running out the door, so I'll make this short. . .your CD absolutely rocks!!!! I listened to the whole thing several times during my drive up to Santa Barbara last week. F-**g great!!!!! (Note: I normally do not drop "F-Bombs" (even hyphenated ones) unless I am really moved). I want to pass it along to some people in the "biz" More on that later. . . . I'll follow up with you next week. Take care.
P.S. You know me too well. "Oblivion" is a GREAT tune. My favorite.

And thank you for the honor and priviledge of letting me hang out with you between sets.

Hey Brookie,
I was talking to Erik Johnson the other day about us playing at Disneyland last year during the daytime. I need to thank you once again for all that you did for me! You really came through for me and allowed me to make this career change. You never even hesitated to give me the chance! I am indebted to you for that and will always love you for that and many other reasons.
In this crazy profession...you stand out as being one of the most honorable, sincere, unselfish, amazingly talented, driven people I have ever met. Okay..I'm done kissin your ass....but I do admire you!!
Love, Tony
|
We loved your set at DiPiazza last week - you looked and sounded amazing as always, but that was the first time we'd heard your original material and we were really impressed. Steve surprised me a lot by saying how much he really liked it (because that wouldn't usually be his kind of stuff), so you KNOW it's good! Sorry we didn't stay for your second set, but Steve will only stick around when you're singing - and as good as the other bands might have been, they aren't YOU!
Anyway, I'm not sure I know the intricacies of current subcategories to properly categorize your music when you asked me, but I can tell you it sounded both contemporary and retro at the same time. I mean, in a way your music really reminds me of the stuff I listened to in the early/mid eighties, yet at the same time it has a real current edge to it. In any case, we loved it and it seemed very commercial to me!
Thanks for inviting us, and love ya -
Lisa

G'RRRRRRRRRRRRLLLL
YOUR NEW SONGS I HEARD ROOOOOCK. Charlie told me about the songs and I heard "astrology" and it hit a nerve chord with me. LOVED IT. We just have to get your music played.
The music can sell itself. I believe it.
Besides, guys would just respond to you in a great way, no matter if they are straight or gay.

Wow! You're rockin' girl! I want to acknowledge you for stepping out into the community in so many ways. I will forward this on to all of my la music friends. Thats so great about whats going on for you. I'd rather be living intentionally than in a cloud, right? Thanks for sharing all that. You are very sweet and I have always appreciated your candor and honesty. Most people are paralyzed with fear, so to the people lucky enough to have a little light shine through its so vitally important to make a contribution to people, the world. it's what our true lives are made of...we may not remember a lot of these gigs but we will remember helping people, or animals or an organization. It’s how you feel about yourself and how you've lived each day when you go to bed a night, you know? Like, did I make a difference while I was here? Thanks Brooke

As I was trying to open the file, I happened to be listening to music in the background on my computer, and was listening to her song before I realized that it was the new song that I was listening to. Wow, as you know I have been enjoying listening to Brooke's music on her website, but this one is so noticeably different than what I have heard before.
The song itself is so professional sounding, the musical accompaniament is so different. This is now my most favorite song of hers and I hope that it can give a real boost in her career!!! Did Brooke also write the music herself??? I got so excited listening to that song. I wish her the best of luck with this one!!!

Hey Brookie!
Just checked out your songs...they are, in a word, awesome.
So, how does one pre-order your new CD? I want to buy CD #1, the first one off the press! Ok, ok, if you've already promised that to someone else, I'll take #2. Hmm. Ok, how about #3? No? #4?
Oh, COME ON NOW!
Fine, I'll take whatever you've got left... ;)
You're still my favorite rock star...
